WRITINGS
This section brings together essays and interviews exploring the relationships between photography, architecture, the city and territory. Taking the Luis Ferreira Alves Photography Award as its starting point, it creates a space for writing, critical reflection and dialogue with photographers, architects, researchers, curators and others working in contemporary visual culture.
Contributions may begin with a work, a personal trajectory, a conversation or a question arising from photographic practice. Writing and images come together to explore working processes, ways of seeing and contexts of production and reception, allowing ideas the time and space to develop.
Organised into ESSAYS and INTERVIEWS, this section welcomes contributions associated with successive editions of the Award and other reflections that broaden its scope. Each publication has its own identity and may connect with the LFA AWARD podcast, videos, exhibitions and books.
